The best two weeks have been a learning experience. Aren't we suppose to learn from our experiences?
Three weeks ago,I missed out on a shoot, were casting contacted me directly to appear without an audition. But due to my court cases, I was unable to make it for the shoot.
Two weeks it was an audition in Culver City for a nationally televised show. Audition went well but I had informed casting that I was not avaialable the for the shoot dates for the rest of that week.
Later that day I received 2 calls from casting. Unfortunately, my ringer was off and missed both calls. No message was left but I did return the calls. However, as I do not know who had called, I was unable to be connected to the caller.
Then over night I receive a text about a shoot the next day. Again, unfortunately, I was 40 miles away from LA and could not get there by the time they specified. That cost me an appearance in a shoot for a network pilot. Ugh!
Finally, something good happened. I booked a gig on the show I had auditioned for. I drove down on Wednesday for a Thursday shoot. It was so wonderful walking up to the studio, having my name on a list and ushered into the studio. There was food waiting but I was immediately escorted to hair and makeup. Then the wardrobe checked out my attire. Rehearsal witht he producer. Finally, the shoot. I was a little nervous/anxious in the beginning but it got better from there.
Can't wait to see the eposidoe. Will keep you posted.
